Question has anyone ever been pulled out of your meditation by a spirit? An experience like that just happened when me and a friend of mine was meditating. It kinda freaked me out because it has never happened to me before; when I snapped out of my meditation my shoulders were cold, my friend snapped out at the same time and she said her shoulders were also freezing. Our only conclusion to this is that a spirit or something yanked us out of our meditative state. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
Well in your relaxed state your body temperature could of fallen accounting for the cold shoulders. There could of also been a draft in the room. A spirit randomly trying to drag you out of your meditation I've never heard of it but it is possible, not very likely in my opinion though. Possession takes a lot more work thank grabbing someone, you need to be very weak mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Myself I have been bothered by spirits while meditating, but its just Rori [spirit I live with] wanting me to pay attention. He will pace the room, or say things to break my concentration, not attack me.
You could try talking to it, or burn purifying incense in the room when you meditate.
Mediation is about awareness and thought flow. It is not about a blank mind or habving no thought. When you have a thought come to mind during meditation you acknowledge the thought and then let it go. Meditation allows one to release negative thoughts, negative emotions, and negative energy as well as gain awareness of self, the universe, and positive energy.
Your recent experience could have been due to a spirit's presence in the room distracting you however they can not pull you or force you to stop meditation.
I suggest more practice with meditation and being aware of you body and the space surrounding it during your practice.
Okay the advice is helpful. And kts when I first started my practice with meditation I was tough to always have a cleared &open mind; and that when ever any thoughts come up to let it just flow past without Acknowledging it
Acknowledging a thought prior to letting the thought go enables one to decrease the reoccurrence of negative thoughts reappearing. Meditation clears the mind so that it can focus on the positive. If a positive thought comes to mind during meditation acknowledging the positive thought increases the positive energy flow leading to other positive thoughts. Simply letting any thought through creates no real awareness and acceptance of self. Mediation can help one to grow and become the person they want to be if done in a manor that promotes positive vibration. Mediation that promotes negative vibrations often leads to those feeling trapped or bothered by the slightest change in the room.
