Those are VERY difficult spells to accomplish, Keagan. Before you cast a spell, think about what you're trying to accomplish and ask yourself "Is this within or above my skill level?". If it's above, then don't try it just yet. Cast spells within your skill level and, when you feel more confident in your skills, try something more difficult. That's how you improve your Magic skills.
totally right but all people have limits do a spell highly restricted you risk hurting the people around you and risk of draining life force and can lead to be open to dark energies

No one is ever going to transform into a were-wolf using magic. EVER. At least not physically (I have no idea what you can do with spirit animals and the like).
Magic can bring you to your greatest potential, fix events in your favor, and pull joy out of the greatest of sorrows. It is powerful in that it connects one to the unseen and spiritual and allows one to influence events around them.
IT DOESN'T do the impossible.
Rearranging a person's DNA to hold incompatible chromosomes of a person and a wolf, having those be actually expressed, not provoking an immune response, surviving the internal bleeding and trauma of ripping bone, tendons, blood vessels, and muscle, as well as creating mass out of nothing to change the size and shape of a person turning into a wearwolf, ISN'T possible.
If you want to do something with wolves, you can work on totems, and things like that, on which I am no expert. You can maybe even make a spell to make it more likely to encounter a wolf or to take on some wolvish characteristics (Aggressive territorialness, slavish obedience to social structure, the ability to enjoy meat medium rare), but you can't become a werewolf a la Jacob in Twilight. Nor should you want to.
Werewolves have been described in mythology since roman times, as people who suffered a curse or made an ill-advised agreement which forced them to become uncontrollable beasts which attacked those around them.

Actually the closest to were-animals I've heard of are skin-changers and beserkers. Skin-changers would use rather nasty magic to transform themselves into wolves using a wolf-skin. Beserkers are actual figures in history who wore bear skins and became filled with bestial rage, performing great feats in battle.
This probably had more to do with psychology than magic. The idea that wearing or consuming a part of an animal would make you more like it isn't a new one, and it would be easy to imagine a beserker taking advantage of the placebo effect to get rid of all usual compunctions humans have about killing eachother
Transformation spells like werewolf are fantasy. They do not, now nor will they ever, work. Anyone who tells you a spell can turn you into a werewolf is either equally uneducated, a lier or has lost touch with reality. We know for a fact that spells like that do not work. They are pure make bilieve fluffy nonsense. Spellwork is like prayer. Some spellwork mixes science with spiritual but nowhere in the history of the world has there ever been real werewolves much less by magic spell.
