how do you know if a spell was effective? like if it worked or not?

I guess it would depend on the type of spell.

depends on the spell and the results you want. Theres a lot of different ways to find out, and sometimes you might not actually know for sure. Especially if it involves another person. I used to use my Pendulum and ask if the magick worked or not. That was the easiest way I know of.
