Would it be a good idea to learn magic and other things from different creatures, such as the fae?

I don't know that it's a bad idea, but I would suggest having a solid knowledge base before trying to learn magic from non-human beings. They're apt to think significantly differently from people and likely have very different ways of viewing and interacting with things.

i think it is good to incoporate alongside your regular studies. If say you were working with the fae then your studies would tell you they have a reputation for lying for whatever reason.

i think if you work with these beings, by default you are learning from them.

If you wish to learn from magickal creatures such as the fae, you'll have to learn to astral project. Why? Because the fae don't occupy the physical realm. Fae and other magickal creatures exist and live on the the astral plane.

I disagree, you can learn from intangible beings through intangible means.

you needn't AP just to learn from them, maybe if you'd like to *see* them (granted permission) that would be necessary.

I myself feel that it is better to learn hands on, so that's why I always suggest astral projection when someone wants to learn magic from different beings. You could perhaps call to them or talk to them through your circle, but I feel that with astral projection, it's a much more exciting and immersive experience.
