some advice

Welcome all!

I just wanted to post some advice for the newbies. I realize that this general idea is already up somewhere else on the site but sometimes it is missed so I thought I would put a little something up here.

If you are new to magick, you will want to look around. I suggest doing this before you talk to strangers that may want to mess with you. The FAQs Tab is a good place to start, it's up there somewhere ^. You will also want to pay a visit to newbie central. After that there is another tab that is good for learning the basics, It's the articles tab^. It can help you learn a little more details of the basics. From there, you will probably have some things you know you will be interested in, and you can dig deeper on the site. Or you can find a book somewhere (a pdf from google maybe).

Keep in mind what spells are not possible. As some people will try to convince you that they are real and may even give you detailed "instructions" on how to perform them. I'm just warning so your efforts don't end up in disappointment.

Most of us are here to help, but it's frustrating when I frequently get messages from people that clearly haven't visited even the FAQ tab. If you learn just a little of the basics through reading, it will be much easier to learn everything else, and it will be easier for others to help you.

I hope this shows as a link. If not you can copy and paste it or just look for "newbie central" in the second row of tabs that pops up after you click FAQS.

I enjoyed this idea. Many of the questions being asked are already answered in the FAQs (which means Frequently Asked Questions). Nice job ^_^
