How does it work?
I have read things online, but there are still some questions i have.
What are the benefits? I read it can completely change the way you think, or your lifestyle.
Journeys and adventures?
People say that you can find things and meet new people this way? And get answer's to questions an such.
Sounds pretty damn amazing to me.
Astral Projections is done by many people, some people are not able to do it successfully (like me), some people believe that when you Astral Travel, you can contact the spirits and god/esses, or how ever they believe. In Astral Projection, you can travel to were ever you want, even lands made by your imagination.
A lot of people say you can find answers you can't ask to people, no one ever knows until you try.
I have been doing different styles of this for 7 years and read theories by The Theosophical Society and other astral projectors...and yet I'm STILL not sure how this works: ;-P I just do it.

In magic theory, or some kinds of magic theory, there is this mundane ordinary physical world...and then there's the supernatural world, like some other dimension. Spells are one bridge to this other world. Astral projection is another. So, basically, it's said that if you astral project, then your magic can become more effective once you understand what's going on "behind the scenes" of every spell.
Journeys and adventures?
Yes, but it's a weird, crazy place... I've only found things that I wasn't looking for, met spirits that were only passing by and had no real interest in me, and found what Tibetans call "the orange answer to the blue question." That's in one style of astral projection, that is...there's this other style that was more helpful in the latter but less helpful in the former...and that gave more like "the yellow answer to the purple question" so still weird answers.
From what I have experienced in the very short time that I have been attempting astral projection, I have found it to be very exhausting mentally, physically and emotionally for me. Interestingly enough, when I began to learn about astral projection and what it was, I realized that I had made it onto the astral plane before a few times, but not on purpose and I didn't know where I was. It seemed to be more of a dream world that I had become conscious in (lucid dreaming). When I would attempt to purposefully make it onto the astral plane this is what would happen; I would make it to the point where my pineal gland was sounding off and it would get unbearable, at this point the gateway was open. I would wait for it to stop sounding off, as I understood that this meant that I was vibrating on a higher plane and this was what I wanted. When the sound stopped I would "get up" problem was I was only waking up, instead of going astral I came right back to my body. This, after being done 3-4 times or more a morning began to become very exhausting. And I promise this is not meant to be a shameless plug for my blog I just want to share my experience with you all (if you are interested) and I don't want to retype it all here so if you want to read more about what I experienced and what some of the issues were and still are. And another thing, some of the sources that I have used to aid me in this are, a YouTube vlog by a one Ryan Cropper,(I believe he may also offer some personal consultations on astral projection albeit I have only watched his videos) YouTube is a temple and you can learn a lot from the individuals there but of course, as with anything, use your discretion. I also gathered some information from a book entitled, Astral Projection: Discover How to Master the Techniques and Methods of Traveling the Astral Plane written by S.J. Morgan. Now these two were enough to help me get started, however, there is a plethora of information out there on this subject. Putting it all into action is the challenge. I hope this helps in some way.
