Gagging and moderators

I have many friends on Spells of magic here and lots of them keep asking me the same question, the question is why are moderators being so rude and gagging people? And the over question is, why did I get gagged?

Well these question's I believe are in a way, kinda rude and undesirable. I got gagged on my old acount cracraizzy for having an autocorrect correct one word to a swear word. At first I was mad because it was one word, but I realized that I had broken a rule and I had no forums I could post or chat.

So I made a new acount and in a way it is better. In have been here for a day and yes I lost things like my beginner's bar, and all of my friends and favorites, however I realize that many are getting gagged, and they have broken the rules.

What ticks me off is when the people make new account's and start getting mad at the moderators for gaging them. Just yesterday someone was getting mad at my old good friend who was a moderator. He was stating a fact in a forum and the people snapped at him. I spoke up and suggested things to the others and they too snapped at me.

The thing is, if you get gagged it's for a reason. If the moderator is in your coven or friends you may or may not get a warning. But of you do, there being nice, and extremely kind. People don't get gagged randomly, moderators take years to achieve, they have this site this way for a reason.

So if you have been gagged, suck it up. Moderator's hardly give an old account back. I am sorry but this website is free and is a great site, if you follow the rules you'll be fine. Please if you have any concerns or questions, read the articles and chat rules. I felt a need to address thus issue due to many crying and complaining.

Thank you for this. The Moderator's job on here is not always an easy one, but I can also assure people that we don't gag accounts for "no reason". If you get gagged it is because you have violated site rules or were causing problems of one sort or another. As the OP has said, you can have a second chance in making a new account and starting over, just be sure that you don't keep repeating the same mistake again.

Lark is correct. No Moderator would gag anyone unless it was serious.

Yeah, my brother was gagged for saying a little bot of vulgar language. He was gagged then. Moderators don't gag you for no reason.

I agree, these guidelines are simply put in place to keep this place running smoothly.. I would not like to se how it would be if everyone could do as they please without consequence..

I like this post, it's true, the moderators' jobs are not easy, they spend most of their free time "Volunteering" their time to this site.
