I'm curious...

I've been a member on this site for quite a while, mostly browsing rarely talking. I'm a solitary so I tend to prefer limited interaction when it comes to my rites, rituals, and interests...but, I also teach alternative religion and have occasional Wiccan webinars to help those who don't know how to integrate their practices into their "every day life". That being said, I want to know who around here is interested in actual craft practice and none of the silly things I keep seeing. I'm not one of the stuck up people who gets mad seeing others make fun by writing spells that are utter nonsense, I actually find it amusing :) but that doesn't help me find more serious, well maybe not 'serious' exactly, but a little more like me. Ones who practice and are knowledgeable. It's ok if there aren't, but figured I would ask. Lator Gators ;)

Hi there!

You'll find the more serious practitoners around the site. Getting past all the fluffy bunnies, we're mostly just talking to each other on the chatter and catching up. There are a bunch of us who follow various cultures and religions, and I'm always open to a serious conversation.

I hope we can get to know you more!

Blessings.

Awesome! I suppose I'll just have to prowl around and see what (or who) there is to see. I've never used the chatter. Was afraid I would see people asking how to become a vampire (?!)...oh wait, that's already happened! :D (for the record, I suggested this fellow try his luck at a costume store) ;)

From what I've observed the "fluffy bunnies" ask most of the questions because they're new and therefore have more questions. The ones who have some experience under their belt either help answer questions or join a coven and stick to talking with the coven and avoid the rest of the site. Be the change you wish to see if you're upset.

I know how you feel :) I get asked by people all the time if I can transform them into some sort of creature lol. as Zeusy said, we use the chatter and we're always trying to help, so looking at the respones in forums could take you to some serious practitioners :) I like to talk, so if you're ever in need of a conversation, I'm here.

That's great :) thanks! I suppose it's difficult to understand the questions of the younger ones and not chuckle a little. I was raised Wiccan and teach professionally so it seems a little bit silly that anyone could think such things but at least it's a refreshing bit of humor! Sorry if I, somehow, gave the impression I'm 'upset', that's absolutely not the case. It takes quite a lot to upset me! On top of being raised differently I have 5 children lol! I was just wondering a couple of things and figured the best way is to engage the general populace ;)

I had someone ask me to turn them into a mermaid lol you just have to get past all the fans and wannabe's to find those who are true and know the diffrence in real magic and tv because real magic is not breathing fire or growing wings or turning into a wolf real magic takes practice and hard work

You shouldn't hate the Fluffies Ladybug. They are usually young, and by coming onto this site, a lot of them begin to learn. And that's a good thing! Not all Fluffies remain Fluffies!
