They don't work. You cannot change your DNA. End of story.

No, the neko spells are fantasy or make-believe. You will never change into any sort of being other than the human you already are.

but isn't all magic about the belief that you can do something? and isn't your DNA just what your body believes you are like? so why can't you convince your DNA to change, or be a bit different?

No, magic is not simply a matter of belief. Nor is DNA a matter of belief, rather it is hard and fast fact.

You know you could sit in the garage all night and believe you are an automobile, but it still won't make you a car.

Neko is simply the Japanese word for cat. The idea of a human being a Neko or something half-cat/half-girl is out of anime which is fantasy not real-life. You can't turn yourself into something that doesn't exist.

Some things are not possible with magic. Magic is limited by much of the physical laws of the Universe.

If you'd like to learn more about what magic can and cann't do I'd suggest the book "Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar.
