I thank you for reading this forum.
I am here to ask a question that is thus;
Why in Solomonic magick is it recorded that Solomon in the lesser key of Solomon when conjuring in the Goetia did he use a Hazel wand? Of what I've read of the properties of Hazel wood it seems less logical than using say Ebony. I have always used an oak wand in my conjuration which works fine. Could it be a metaphor for ano unknown ingredient? In my eight years I've never found an answer for this. I'd very much appreciate an answer, please. Thank you very much and blessed be.

Book 2, Chapter 8 of the Greater Key of Solomon breaks down some recommended instruments of magical art. One of these is the Wand, and the instruction is to use Hazel wood to construct the Wand. Because of this very direct and deliberate instruction on the wand's construction, the Solomonic Magick tradition does not tie wood correspondences to the wand.
