meeting someone in dream

id like to lknow how to meet someone in my dream?)i tried this last night with someone i asked them to picture a place and look for me reaching out my hands to them
they said it didnt work.

ARE there any special requirements for this to succeed?
do they neede to be receptive or perceptive or neither?

they dont often remember their dreams
only the bad ones
is this something we can do.

id love to tell them what to do tonight and drift off
do you both need to drift at same time?

Most times for me it just has to present itself, with the right intention in mind and focusing on that for several minutes. In your REM cycle, which for me is usually 3-6 am, depending on when I do go to bed, and if I wake up during those hours ( school being the most frequent catalyst ) I can remember a lot of my dream but we are technically having hundreds of dreams each night and I can only remember a great deal of one or two dreams.
Just a few nights ago I was focusing on what I think may be my Spirit Guide and for them to perhaps meet me or show me something and they showed me my power animal, the Alligator.
Meditate and focus on it, there might be many other ways to try and help induce it but I would focus on the Third Eye chakra as well.

I don't now about meeting someone you already know, but I met my one true love through traveling to a different world in my sleep. I have a forum about my world if you want to try to use it to contact your friend.
P.S. You would have to have a really strong emotional connection to this person (as in you would die to save their life and vice versa). Even then you would need a lot of physical and spiritual energy to do it, BUT it is possible.
