Message limits?

Hi. I have seen a few profiles saying they got to their limit in messages..what is this limit?

To prevent spam, the site has a limit on messages that usually resets after an hour, but if you are gagged (banned) from site features, your messaging system will not reset.

I guess it's when you post too much or send too many mails or send too many messages in chat ?? I haven't reached the limit yet... either

Well if you send too many messages within a chat at once, a moderator will usually warn you, if you send too many message of Mail at a time it will block you from mailing for about an hour, I stated up above, this prevent spam, then it can also happen in the Forums as well. If you are not gagged, then it should reset.

Sorry, i'm not sure if its somewhere in the rules (if it is tell me so i can read it over again please,) but what is the exact limit? Is it a certain number, or just a time span, like how some sites have a posting limit before another user posts back...?
