Miko Training

Mikos are Japanese priestesses trained to rid the world of evil spirits and evil demons (not all demons are evil, just some) using special items such as tamagushi or ofuda. The item I is a ceramonial fan. If anyone else on this site is training to be one, is one, or wants to train to be a Miko, please post here.

Anime shows tend to exagirate things a little, but there are mikos who perform ceremonies using special items. There is woman at the office my parents work at who is a miko who is trained to perform these ceramonies, and she has recently started training me to do these ceramonies using tradional items as well.

Miko training is very serious and casting the spells is somewhat difficult. Just a warning foe those of you who wish to be a Miko :)
