What do you get it if meditation other than being relaxed? I'm thinking of doing it before bed because I have nothing else to do.

Depends on the intent and focus. Relaxation, stress and anxiety relief are beneficial to everyone. It is also very useful in centering ones inner self or attaining balance. There is also a large belief that you can awaken latent abilities, increase or stabilize the amount of energy being released from the body, etc. Ultimately depends on what you want to get out of it.

Meditation also helps with focus, and being present in the moment.

It can also be used as a gateway to voluntarily changing the state of one's consciousness.
