Theory on Gods

So, as many spiritual beliefs state, gods were just there, they have always been there, and there is nothing solid against their existence, but more with it, it seems. I have been studying into astral realms, and most from what I got from it is that it makes things from human imagination, and maybe other creature's imagination as well. So, my theory is that maybe they actually hail from this realm. What evidence do I have to support this? Well, we know gods can derive power from belief in them, and it seems like the more influence a certain religion has, it is possible the more sway they have over the world, not just their followers. Now this brings me to the Hebrew-based God, somewhat the same thing albeit different, basically my theory is that their god wants to be the supreme one. Unlike many other religions, Christians, Jewish, Etc. In all similar beliefs, they have a rule that more or less says, "You must believe in me or you will go to hell, no exceptions", some theorize this could be a simple ploy for power, and again it is just a theory. However, it would seem odd why this one religion has this and no others, as back then, most people were focused on power. So what if this God was being true on his word of a paradise, but lied about what would happen to non believers to gain more power. And as for where the gods come from, they could come from the astral realm (Forgive me if I'm getting the name wrong) Let me know what you think, and what evidence you may have to with/against this claim, and overall give your opinions.

Why would a god need more power, when it's already an all-powerfull being?

That is a very good question Thijmen and I would love to know the answer to it. I personally don't think that people that don't obey God's rules will go to hell. I mean why would they if God loves all of us just the same?

Blessed Be.

A god is an all powerful being, however, consider the fact there are multiple gods of multiple religions. Although they could be the most powerful they could ever be, this theory considers if maybe they can become more powerful through our prayers. Also, on the god loves all, my idea is that, and again, this is in theory, that maybe that God, the one, the one brought up, he has told the truth as far as a paradise, however, I would question, if he loves all his children, then why condemn them to an eternity of eternal suffering? What I am saying is that he could only consider those who believe in him as his legitimate children. The rest, he could see as his children, like parents, who watch a child grow up, but then become what they would view as a disappointment. Thank you for the responses, I hope we can continue to discuss this thread, and for anyone else who would like to jump in, I would like to ask that you please keep it as theories and debates, and not have it turn into arguments.

What do you mean by "he told us the truth about paradise"?
To whom did he speak? Moses?
Moses went up a mountain, all alone, no witnesses, and says that he spoke with God!
If he said such a thing in modern times he would be gently led off to the nearest mental Hospital.
It is always the same story. God "speaks" only to one person, and only when that person is alone!

The Gods are all powerful and don't require worship for more power,it is our way of showing our gratittude

Brysing: I can see it being possible I mean Moses did save a lot of people and Saint Joan of Arc heard voices from God and saved her Country, doesn't this prove something

I believe some Gods are older than others, as there are many different myths about various Gods and Goddesses being born of each other. I believe they come from this realm, or many were a main part of creating this realm. Are there some which do not come from this realm? It's possible, but I don't know enough about that to say anything really.

"The Yorkshire Ripper" also heard "voices". Telling him to kill prostitutes. Was that also the voice of God!
Moses "saved a lot of people". Really? He wrote the account of it!

Joan of Arc did not "save her country". She was burnt at the stake for Heresy.
