Controlling oil

Hello, is there anybody out there that has had success with controlling oil? And if I put a picture of my target under a black candle and engrave my intention into it with my targets name as well and then anoint with the controlling oil and let it burn will it affect my target? I cut the picture of my target in half because I was also in the picture but my arms are still in the half cut picture,will the spell effect me or backfire in anyway? And if I put protection oil on me after the spell just in case it does will the protection oil protect me?

I'd personally try and find a picture that doesn't have anything to do with you, or get something of the person and use that instead of a picture. But generally from my experience it shouldn't affect you, just as long as you dispose of the entire remains of the spell.

That will include your half of the picture because the energy is still attached. Also, if you're going to keep the remains with you incase you wish to undo the spell, seal it up in a black box, tie it or lock it shut.

Or just bind into some black cloth and tie it shut, hide it away where no one can see it.

Though the black box method would be more effective to prevent the Curse/Control from festering and doing harm to you.
