So, this is a post regarding Astrological Magick and such.
So, I'm very big on Zodiac Signs, I find them just something fun to learn about. Do I base ever life choice on my sign? No.
Anyways, I would like to know, how does Astrological Magick work exactly? Are their spells? Is it just a belief thing?
If anyone could explain it, that would be really helpful. Thanks

Astrology is not only a very old belief; it is a very old practice!
It is not really a part of witchcraft, and has always seemed to me to be the most illogical of practices. It is based on the position of the planets in relation to the Sun at the moment of birth. As though life starts at birth. But it doesn't! It starts at conception!
Now, a "normal" pregnancy is forty weeks; calculated from the last menstrual period. But how many births are that accurate? A birth can be any time of 34 weeks to 42 weeks. And successful births have taken place much earlier. It depends on the time of ovulation; when the ovary releases an egg.
I have never been able to see the point of a "birth sign".
But millions believe it. So, you pays your money, and you take your choice.

The problem is that astrological magic is no "simple" . In fact it is very complex. If you cannot read books it's going to be very, very difficult to master this form of magical practice.
Yes, but I can read many things online. That's the point.
I can't get myself books (or purchase them online) due to the fact that I still live under my parents roof.
Astrological magic is a very real practice. Knowing the energies that the planets bring, how the signs effect those energies, and how to call and direct those energies are all very real things to look into. You can also look into astrological correspondences to scents, herbs, colors, stones, etc. If you do your magical workings by the phases of the moon you are working, in a fashion, with astrological magic. Astrology is a vast and difficult study, but well worth the time and effort. The books that Lark recommended are a good place to start. You can also find a lot of this information online. But, like everything you find online, you should take it with a grain of salt. Check it out and research it. Don't look to just one source. That includes all the responses to your initial question. Including this one.
Lark is right, there is no quick fix, your not meditating or playing around with color coding chakras
The universe is very complex
But learning to be in Harmony with it can pay off greatly
I doubt your parents would mind so much it's scientifically
Based studies
Also be aware that there are different systems of astrology which place the stars at different positions. I am a fan of the traditional Western Tropical system which is the one you will find in most literature, however, I will be the first to admit that that system is based upon tradition and theory rather than the actual placement of the stars. Sidereal on the other hand tells you the actual position of the stars.
For Tropical, I recommend the writings of Crowley espescially the book ghostwritten for Evangeline Adams

If you can ever get a hold of it, Soror Meral's work on astrology is also quite exhaustive and a great introduction to the subject.
For Sidereal astrology you will most likely have to google, the principles are similar for tropical, the only real thing which differs is the calculation in the position of the constellations, and so really Sidereal only matters in practice, if you choose to make it matter for you. I personally don't see any value in it anymore, however, I know it is on the rise in terms of favourable systems.
Traditionally, and I use that term with trepidation, one deals with the elements first, then the planets, and then the astrological signs. There is a logical pattern and order ot this, but it also marks which energies are the densest and subtlest and simply easiest to handle.
