Hello!

My name is Rachel and I am both new to this website and a new witch. I've known about Wicca my whole life, since my dad used to be Wiccan, but most of my family is Christian so I never learned anything about it from my dad. My dad eventually converted over to Christianity a few years back. I've been researching about Wicca for about a couple weeks and I feel that I have found the right religion for me. I came here to find other witches to become friends with, teach me more about witchcraft and wicca, and maybe find some spells to cast whenever I feel ready to start.

I've been a practicing Wiccan for over 30 years and I'm always happy to try to answer questions that people have about this wonderful religion. I'd suggest starting with a couple of the threads here in the Wicca Forum on this site. In particular, read through the threads "What Wicca Is and Isn't" and "Main Wicca Posts". The latter contains many useful sub-threads to help you. In addition, if I could recommend two books to start out with they would be:

"Wicca" by Thea Sabin

"Wicca: A Year and a Day" by Timothy Roderick.

Welcome! Anything Lark suggests is very good, so you should start there with physical books, there are a lot of good subjects here on the site as well
