I had a dream today in the afternoon when i was lying down in my room....in the dream i found my self lying down in my father's room on his bed where we used to live...and i saw the Devil open the door and came to me....juz when i saw him i was about to run and he held me down and started making a mark on my forehead...after putting the mark on my forehead i saw him sharpening an iron rod which i was scared he was going to pierce my Head with it soo i quickly opened the door and run off...when i was opening the door he didn't mind and i opened it and run off...juz when i got out of the main gate...i saw some friends of mine that i've not seen for years few meters from the gate and they were very hapi to see me and i waved them and turned back toward the house...juz when i turned and i waz going back..i woke up from the dream....i looked straight up in the mirror and i didn't see any sign on my forehead......i'm a bit confused but i'm not scared at all....i feel rather a bit hapi for seeing the Devil...what could This dream possibly mean?Any advice
The Devil can often represent self-enslavement and your old friend could show nostalgia. I like to think of dreams, when they aren't particularly prophetic, as the mind working on issues while you sleep. Perhaps there some thing you "enslaving" yourself to that this old friend is tied to. I would investigate that and meditate further on what the dream means to you, as much of dream interpretation is highly subjective and personal.
I believe dreams, to be your spirit getting off your body, as in astral project, but being controled by your subconcious mind. Your subconcious then would then create you a "dream" for that is something you can do at the astral world, and then, would make you live your own fears or problems.
As MistyWench said, it could represent self-enslavement and nostalgia, but, I believe it can mean running from this enslavement, fleeing from it, as you did run from that devil, or at least from that heated iron rod, or, danger. Could mean you can flee from a situation on your life that you think you can't, something that makes you feel "enslaved", but is not much, and you can flee from it, through old friends or friendship.
Maybe also means you need to let go of those old friends, and find new ones, for life DOES goes on, and you can't leave on the past or future. Well, I hope this helped, I am still just a beginner at dream interpretation, but I do hope this opens your eyes a bit!
