Is it true that every spell caster that asks for money for materials? My mentor told me it was(he does not ask for any money for spell casting whatsoever), and I believe him. Well, I hope to hear from some of you soon:)! Please share your comments:)!
Magic truly are free.. But spell casting needs casting ingredients.. Ofcourse they are things one can find easily. Spiritual shops are everywhere and online. It is better you cast your own spell by yourself.
If you for any reason for instance you are unclean (menstrual) or a leper or have eaten a hoofed or some sort of uncleaningness and really do need someone to cast your spell, it is advisable that you buy the ingredients and send by post yourself to the caster.. This ensures your commitment and takes away a chance of loosing funds..
If you need to have someone cast for you, be sure that this person will use your ingredients for the intended purpose.. Use reputable casters.. You can find casters in local covens around you.
I see no reason why a person casting a spell for another should not ask for a moderate amount of compensation. Whether it is for materials or their time, I find it a reasonable request. One would not get upset by a mechanic, plumber, or electrician asking for compensation for their work, so I do not see why a magic caster should not be compensated as well.
Honestly, if I'm casting a spell for someone, then I'm doing a job for them. If I'm doing a job then I want to get paid for it. Magic may be free, but materials aren't and I'd rather not just give away my efforts.
I see magick as a form to help the world.
If I know something and I'm capable of doing something which everybody can't do I'll do it without cost.
If I have a tight budget I'd ask for a compensation for materials.
Otherwise I would keep that also free of cost.
It really depends on what materials you're buying but spell casting is completely free. You see you should not have to pay anyone to do a spell for you, why? Because they didn't "buy" the spell. I don't normally go on websites and order materials, I just use the nature of the earth. My very close friend and I do spells together, sure we have to look around our yards and at the park for the things we need. But we never paid for it. If there is another spell caster that wanted to use some of the things I gathered I would give them it. Sure, I worked for it but I do not own spell casting or the earth. So it really depends on who you're talking about but to answer your question: No, not all casters do that.
This is probably influenced by my regular job not paying nearly living wages but, I'm still going to hold that casting a spell for someone constitutes work and should be compensated.
Magic as a thing may be unownable, likewise nature, but the work that goes into actually gathering anything needed and casting the spell is something that comes from the caster. Effort should be rewarded, even esoteric effort.
