Incense and pictures...

I am Extremely confused. I want to become more devoted to Hindu goddess Kali. I have an idea; having her picture somewhere and the incense wil be going to that picture. However, on every pic she has, she is standing upon Shiva.... I'll give you a few examples:

The story is large, I'll make it short: In this picture Shiva stoped Kali from destroying the whole world, after killing a powerful Demon and saving the whole world and herself included. Her tongue was stuck out for the amzing huge amounts of gultiness she had.

I cleary want to devote my self to Kali, and not Shiva. However these are from the best pics, and Shiva is included while I want to devote myself to Kali. Also, during my devotion I'm going to light up Dragon's incense; Kali's incense. I'm going to let that going to the pictures, but is that offering going to go to Shiva as well, as he's in the pictures?

Why Shiva's? I want to devote to Kali, not him. Can you explain?

Can't read your whole post [its cut off for some reason] but you could try making a picture of just Kali, or find a statue of her instead. Of course you can specify when lighting the incense its for Kali and not Shiva [like say 'Mighty Kali, please accept this incense from me' or whatever] I have an altar with my God and Goddess statues on it, I always say a prayer when giving offerings and specify if it's for one and not the other.

Oh I see, cool then. So if I say something "Kali, take my offering of incense from me, as long as it burns" and if I then leave it somewhere, only Kali will get the offering?

And it is sure Shiva won't get it right? I don't want Shiva because I don't have a bond with him or something, not that I have a personal problem..

well most pictures of Kali and Shiva i've seen is his vanquish, [or at least very passive and she is proudly displayed] if you focus your energy and intent on her, it will go to her. [also, i quickly googled 'Kali Hindu Goddess' and found 4 photos of just her you could use.] but you shouldn't have a problem. most people who worship Kali have pictures of her and Shiva. again, Kali is proudly displayed, and Shiva lays bellow her, so it is specifically a portrait praising Kali.

Loakeim1 do you know the exact story of the kali.It is said that after sucking the blood of the demon raktabija,she became furious and in rage she danced on the slain body of the demon.Also she in anger tries to destroy the world.As a symbol of sattvic or purity she is above the color,light,dark,good or bad.As a form of parvati shiva's wife it is said that no one could rival her power.So to stop her from destroying the entire world shiva prostrated on the earth.Because husbands are very respected in hinduism when kali stepped on her husband's chest it relinquished her anger and when she saw what she had done guilt laden her toungue came out.I can understand u dont want to worship shiva but remember according to purana world is safe only because shiva was there to calm her anger.All in all what u can do is what others say worship to kali and in my opinion just pay some respect to shiva also.Your offering will only go to who you intend to in my opinion but extra blessing is never bad i guess.

I am extremely aware of the story, I just didn't want to mention it... And this is Only according to the legend, we don't know if it happened like that...
