The spells that work the best are the ones you create yourself.
Before you think of casting a spell, I recommend learning 'The Basics' first.

If you have to ask this question I think it would be wise for you to first gain the knowledge of what magick is, what it can do, and how it works.

For spell work I consider the generic basics to be quite helpful. The basics are most commonly thought to be grounding, centering, and meditation. Being able to get into the right state of mind if very imoportant. I am a firm believer of being able to focus on the task at hand, being firm in your resolve and intent, etc. Being in the right emotional state is also important, I think. I would not want to be angry, sad, or desprate when doing a love working. I would also advise visualization.

Another tip is learning spell corrospondences. Things such as colors, herbs, gemstones, incense, candles, moon phases, days of the week, and so forth. Now ask yourself; what colors represent love? What scents do you think work best for it? Do you want to incorperate flower petals, maybe ribbon or string? The reason it is thought that making your own spell is a good idea is so it will be personalized with your intentions. You can use one you find and even tweak it to your liking if you would prefer.
