What is your path (or why do you consider yourself "other path" vs the traditional ones listed as main forums)?
What got you started?
If you started with a different path, what was it? Why did you change?

Well, unfortuately there are not forum sections for kabbalah, ceremonial magic or the Western Mystery Traditions. So, I suppose I fall into the "other paths" department.

My path naturally evolved from the things i practice and am interested in. Even if someone else practices the same things, their practice will not look like mine.
I believe there is something to be said for creating/discovering one's own cosmology. My path is very much rooted in my own cosmology /existential philosophy.

The one's listed in the main forums aren't there because they are traditional - it's simply what people have shown interest in. For a while, each of those were "the big thing" on SoM and all of them ebb and flow in terms of how many people it applies to on the site at any given point in time. Personally I think it would be good to have more recognition of "Other Paths" but as most sites that drop tons of categories, they would mostly be empty until someone decided they wanted to write in them (of course, it could be mitigated some by sorting existing threads into said categories).
I suppose by the OP's standards, the only aspects of my paths that qualify as other are Alchemy, Witchcraft, and Chaos Magic. Funny that we don't actually have a forum specific to Witchcraft.
What path I consider myself? A chaoist that's on the path of Chaoism
What got me started? Working with Tiamat took me in that direction
What path I started way before the one I am on now? Mostly it was Satanism before then.
Why or what made me change? Just that feeling nothing felt right to me so I had to get rid of of the moral guideline's. How ever I did take along thephilosophy of the Left Hand Path.
I practice Witchcraft, not Wicca. I do Sympathetic Magick or Low Magick. I read Tarot, I do spells, I try not to harm but if provoked, I will. It is only self defence. I am interested in Chaos Magick but mostly use sigils.
I'm Kemetic Orthodox and Kemetic. We're a tiny head count in modern ATRs/paganism (respectively), but we are growing! The level of traditional aspects depends on the individual and how they view the upg of modern times versus the shared gnosis of ancient times.
What path do I consider myself? I am a traditional witch.
What got me started? The need to discover who God was.
What path have I started way before the one I am on now? None.Used to label myself as an atheist. I spent over a decade researching deep and hard until I found this path.
Hi! I'm a bit late to the party (just signed up today), but I'm a secular (non-theistic) green witch. I started as a Wiccan, but deity just isn't something I've ever believed in. When I worshiped God and Goddess, I felt like I was lying to myself and "pretending" only distracted me from my spellwork. So I dropped worship and started googling things like "atheist witch is a thing?" I found out about tons of paths, tried out some other theistic paths, and landed where I am now. However, I still appreciate various gods/goddesses as symbolic correspondences. For example, a secular witch can envision Aphrodite during a love spell to help visualize romantic energy, even though said witch doesn't worship/believe in Aphrodite). So whether I believe or not, I still appreciate theism in the occult.
religiously i follow hellenism ( the greek gods), i find occasional others who share this path but not frequently and it is hardley ever talked about on this site. i started with a strong passion for Aphrodite and slowly started to accept the other gods and beliefs.
