I'm not trying to hide being a witch its just my family doesnt understand about this stuff. I want to continue practicing witchcraft and get all the proper tools but im only 14 and I live with a nosey family. I dont have much money so I cant do much, I need help ideas or something please.
Actually you don't need supplies to practice. I see them more as visual support. You can make your own depending on the tools you need. I once used toothpicks and thread to make a pentagram. You have to be creative when trying to keep it away from others.
I started at 13 and they still dont know, i used plastic picnic knoves i decorated and birthday candles to do spells and used stuff in the house we already had. When i was 16 i got a job and i could buy my own stuff, i kept it hidden but now i just keep it out and dont care. You dont need tools to do spells but having your own money you earn helps so much so when you get a b it older and get a little job you can buy what you need if you like. But tealights and stuff you handmake etc works just the same.
you can just alter things you already own and use them for magickal purposes. my first book of shadows was a notebook, i already had a bunch of candles and an incense burner. i bought a knife at a flea market which called to me, consecrated it, and that's my athame [which i kept in a drawer in my bedroom instead of out in the open] when i did my first couple circles i would tell mom i was studying and needed quiet. when i finally told my mom she actually didn't care. she didn't really understand it and thought it was a phase but the more i explained and the more she saw the more she understood and realized it was right for me.
Take this opportunity to educate yourself read as many books as you can on magic and witchcraft, you do not have to buy them you can simply read the PDF that are available online. At your age it may not be wise to confront and come clean to your family about your practice.

When i started i was also around 16.It was difficult for me to explain my parents and siblings to what i was doing.I used to say the truth which would frighten the people. My parents luckily had little to no reaction. They had come to accept me as a black sheep. If you have difficulty declaring the obvious then use the common things which they know herbs, simple knives, ribbons and candles commonly used.Their is simply nothing to hide only to reveal how much you want for their sanity.
If you plan to practice magick utilizing simple objects like crystals you could buy them and claim it was for their appearance implying you have a desire to collect them. Long before I started practicing magick in any form I already collected stones and was able to buy some items like that without any suspicion from my family. Tools are more of an assistance rather than necessery. I practiced pure energy magick for a long time which relied heavily on visulization without the use of tools of any kind. You can draw runes or symbols on to paper you can throw away after using it, you can use items like simple stones to help visual a circle and cast a circle using pure energy without a need to draw one out, etc... Be creative and at the same time remember that you still fall under the rules of your parents in the end. You should focus on the basics first which don't require tools.
