Permanent Enchantment

I've not found a great deal anywhere on how to enchant objects, and what I have found seems to follow the same problem sigils have in that after they're only good for a certain period time before they need to be charged again. Are there signatures or symbols I can use? And what of particular rites and rituals to ensure permanence, or possibly ways to petition a god(s)? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Like we talked about in the chat, it's just not possible. I liked Weatherwax's example; the battery, eventually, needs to be recharged.

You could link a source of energy to the object thereby giving it a constant flow of energy, try leylines or stars.

Honestly, you should just link it to any elements or spirits you have an affinity for. Otherwise, link it direct to the Earth.
