Actually the more you watch youtube videos and read about it the more likely you are to have at least an experience. That is what I learnt when I first started out. Though they like to claim the opposite, most authors do not have direct experience with the subject. Goodluck.

If you search about it a lot, it is not granted you'll have an experience. Everyone is different. It didn't wirk like that for me...

There are many tips-if you're not calmed down; calm down. Search on google ways and auch and youtube. Some tips are practising in the morning in order not to fall asleep and miss trance; another one, the temperature of the room, maybe binaural beats if they help you.

Deffinetely meditate before. Ugh I remember I have answered somehere else with more but I don't remember any...
