Hello Gypsy,

Did you mean Four Thieves Vinegar ???

Four thieves vinegar is common in Folk and Hoodoo spell-casting. It was originally developed in the early 15th Century in Western Europe.

To make Four Thieves Vinegar. First, find the best vinegar you can get. Apple cider vinegar is good, red wine vinegar is popular too. Peel and mince four garlic cloves and add them to the vinegar, in a jar with a lid.

Traditionally, each thief contributed a single ingredient choose any four of the following: black or red pepper, cayenne or chili pepper, lavender, rue, rosemary, mint, sage, wormwood, thyme, or coriander. Add these to the jar.

Allow the mixture to sit for four full days some people recommend placing it in the sun, others in a dark cabinet. Either way, be sure to shake it once a day. After the fourth day, use it in spell-work.

If it is actually Seven Thieves Vinegar, then there was an 'Aromatic Vinegar' known as:
The Vinegar of The Seven Thief, it appeared in Toulouse during the plague epidemics that struck between 1628 1631. This remedy allowed them to pillage the sick without being contaminated. It was passed on hands and face or burned in homes to preserve from contagious diseases in general.

It is sold today as a room fragrance; the reason it was called Seven Thieves was the fact that there were 7 monks who made it. Each monk only knew one ingredient so as they all had to make it together and not a single one or group could make it alone and profit over the other.

Sorry for the long winded reply, I hope this helps you and anyone else.

Blessed be, Gypsy.
