the senses in magick

Hi all.

just a quick question for you regarding magick and the senses.

how would a person who can not see colours and such cast affective spells? do the senses play an important role in magick as well, for example, when channaling energy, could the heat in ones hands indicate that the spell is working?
I would appreciate your views on this one.
