An Introduction

Hello. I am Rasmenar. I am 18 years old, and I live in Florida.

I am new to the study of Magic. I am interested in every kind of magic that I have seen so far. I am sort of lost when it comes to getting started. Could anyone here offer me any advice on some basic spells I can try? I definitely believe in magic, I have seen it greatly affect the life of somebody I know, but I am not sure where to begin.

The beginning is the root. This is the chakra base. Learn to open it. Learn to feel it's vibration and warmth.
This is to say you must learn to meditate properly and open your chakras before any spell can be beneficial as more than simple utterance.

I've been practicing Meditation for a while now. I'm to the point where I can clear my mind completely, and meditate on one specific thought.

Have you effectively alligned your chakras?

Yes, I have even been able to channel energy into myself and into other objects, sometimes resulting in telekinesis. Small things though, I only managed to make a pencil flip off of a desk, and made some pennies move.

I suppose that puts you a step ahead of me then. I've not so much as made saran wrap move. Lol. I've been getting a lot of help from some people here too.
As for the rest I also have been interested in every type of magick I've seen, or read about. Really intrigued with hermetic science, as well as several other practices I've listed thread to thread. Lol. But I just practice what is natural to me, which seems to expand a little the more I read about different practices.
Any idea about a particular direction you'd like to go with your practice.

I'm interested about how I can use my own energy to affect the physical realm, whether by moving things, starting a fire, or even influencing the mind of another.

Also, I am interested in the craft of items imbued with some form of energy, preferably not my own.
