When I started to learn about magick, I had a dream. In this dream, I was under a staircase, and a witch cast a spell to make it rain. Being newish to the craft, I panicked at first. I had had dreams that had been correct about things before, so there was a belief that it would happen.
Slowly, over the next month, it began to rain more and more. It seems like my belief in the dream coming true strengthened the spell if it was indeed a spell. There was no indication if the dream was either a prediction or an actual spell.
What Im wondering is if similar things happened to other people as well. Has a dream spell actually come true, or was my situation was the perfect storm (haha, no pun inteneded) for this to happen?
It is very unlikely that any magical working can ifuence the weatner. Did the rain coincide with a time of the year when it rains more? Were meteorologists already talking about a typical or atypical pattern in the weather? For example, we have entered a global weather phenomenon called La Nina, which changes typical winter weather in the Northern Hemisphere and summer weather in the Southern Hemisphere. The immense body of water involved, the incredible amount of thermal energy required, is beyond the scope of all of the combined technology on earth.
You said yourself that the dream occurred when you had recently begun studying magic. It was a topic frequently in your mind, and your brain had a lot of information to process, of both new things learned and things known, believed, or associated with the topic, for a very long time. That is a very easy formula to explain the origin of a dream. Every element of that statement is present in your dream.
At the beginning beginning when we start out in magic we see stuff and say is that possible i should try that, but as we grow and learn we understand that such things cannot happen, i do not think your dream made it rain.
like prsona said each section of the world changes season's and when that occurs weather patterns change and during the wet season rains occurs more frequently and can spur up out of nowhere just like thunderstorms do.
Your issue might be caused by reoccurring dreams, A recurring dream is a dream which is experienced repeatedly over a long period. They can be pleasant or nightmarish and unique to the person and their experiences.
Im not implying that the dream directly caused the rain, Im curious if others have had similar experiences. The reason I asked is because of how odd the situation was. There have just been so many strange coincidences that Ive only begun to see the extent of. Im just curious about whether others have had similar circumstances.

I once dreamed when i was 12 that i was in a closet and its snowed for ten days straight but at that time i thought it actually was snowing and then i passed out in the snow and woke up in my bed and ran outside to find it being 90 degrees out,
This dream reoccurred for several weeks but as it progressed i realised that i love winter and love the snow cause it makes me happy and he brights the earth up and sparks the beauty of nature.
