There is hacker currently hacking profiles on the website so you might see stuff that is very disturbing.

As folks in the chat were warned previously, if someone sends you a link, do not click it. It may be a link to malware of a phishing site.

If anything asks for your SoM login, do not enter your credentials if you are already logged into SoM. If you are not logged into the forum and wish to be, go yourself to the Spells of Magic site to log in.

If a link sends you to what appears to be any social media page, which requires you to log into that network, open a new tab and be sure you are logged into that network if you already have an account.

Be very cautious of file extensions, if you do choose to click a link sent by someone on this site.'

If any site you are linked to asks you to download additional software or install an extension, do not do so unless you can verify beyond a shadow of a doubt its legitimacy.

If you are sent a link by someone, and you do not trust the person or the link;
If you see something inappropriate on someone's profile:
Report it to the moderation team immediately.

tl;dr for both this and Whiskies's post:
There is a person or persons compromising users' accounts. Do not trust links. Beware your own profile, in case you have been compromised.
Report all issues to the mods as soon as something is noticed.

Please always check the site you're on. In the fake log in pages they typically have a different web address than the one you're logging in at.
