Different deities.

Hello everybody!

I would just like to ask, is it possible to worship or believe in deities from different pantheons and religions? What if one was to feel connected to more than one god or goddess say the Christian God and Greek Goddess Aphrodite or something of that sort or for example the Egyptian God Ra and the Islamic god Allah. Would it be seen as a paradox or something?

Not at all, I'm just feeling like warning you for something: Some may try to use you, be careful of that.

In short, yes you can work with or worship multiple deities of varying pantheons if you would like.

Just be mindful and respectful of the ones you are working with, and research as much as you can. Do what feels right for you.

I don't think you need to give up on some god in favour to other. I work mosly with Norse gods but I also work with some Hindu and Summerian gods, and even Greek.

Be careful with introducing some traditions into your practice, as according to certain traditions, their gods are exclusive. That is, some traditions do not allow for inclusion of outside deities, or being included in outside beliefs. Also be aware that while some religions work fine with soft polytheism, some deities are at odds with each other, and trying to share them in your own tradition may not work out as well as you might hope.
