Hello, i recently have been working on myself and learning more and getting in tune with my gifts, and was visited by the Raven. I have never seen a raven before, and i saw one in my everyday travels, and for my area, it's common to see crows and not ravens. I looked into the symbolism of who the raven is and what raven may have been trying to say to me. Everything from the stories of Odian and his two ravens, to Apollo, Athena, and of course Native Americans and different tribe versions. I know that raven wants me to imbrass all sides of me, even the ones that i am not comfortable with. Yet, i find myself at an off time to do that.
Is there any way that raven could be trying to tell me something different, did i interpret it wrong, or is there just something that i am over looking?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you
Answering a question like this can be quite difficult as it is due to peoples personal belief. If youve already researched what it could mean my advice for you is just go by your gut. Theres a few things it could mean like it is a bird so it could represent freedom or travel but they have also been known to represent death or sadness. And it could also be that it just decided to live there, after all it is just a bird and it doesnt have to mean something. I hope everything goes well, blessed be
Sadly, if it wants to live in a parking lot outside of a movie theater, i feel bad for the Raven :) ( Just a joke, since i saw it just hanging out in front of our car, in a movie theater parking lot). I orginally thought it was a sign of death, however the way it behaved and looked at me, lead me to think otherwise.
And you do have a point, thank you very much
The best I can suggest is to be patient, and even if things feel too hectic do your best to keep at least a little attention to your spiritual side. Even if it is just a few minutes of meditation once you've crawled into bed... Or a stray thought or question while waiting for the bus.(if you bus)
Considering the circumstances around your little meeting, it does indeed seem like it would have been an unusual or unique event. Especially because it was specifically at your car, and caught your direct attention. Chances are good there was some kind of message in it.
When you get a chance, I suggest journaling the event if you haven't already. Include the small details of the day. How did you feel at the start of thd day? What thughts were pervasive? Have you been puzzling or worrying about a future goal or choice? Has anything been bothering you lately that might be related to raven? Have you been looking for guidance in something over the last while, or looking to connect with a guide or guard?
If you are ztill drawing blanks maybe outright ask the raven about what it was trying to tell you. ... Get yourself into a light state of relaxation and adress the raven directly in your thoughts. Ask a simple question or otherwise express that you understand there was some purpose to making itself known to you in such a specific way. Then spend some time actively listening. Don't restrict your tboughts and try to hold off on judging any inklings or intuitions as good or bad, or meaningful or silly. Just follow them, observe where they lead, and when ever you feel a thought is particularly relevant ask yourself another question related to that thought.
It might lead to some interesting results, or mayby a minor epiphany or two. Just bear in mind that it really helps to allow your thoughts to travel. Even if it seems a little 'off topic'. And Especially if it feels like your thoughts ard turning towards exposing your stresses and concerns. No one likes taking a look into that stormy part of themselves... but I have found that if ever a message was hiding, that is where I have found its meaning.
After all. Why would you be getting healing or insight about something that doesn't -need- healing or insight?
