AP Black and White

Hello all,

I was curious if anyone has had any instances where their AP has been in black and white only and no color. I have had multiple occurrences when this has happened and I have been trying to figure out if it has been a dream state or really an AP. It felt very vivid and real and when this happened I had interactions with some other people or spirits not sure what they were. If anyone has any suggestions I can email them with the different dream specifics.

Astral projection works with the same parts of your brain as dreams. One key difference is that during AP, one is mentally awake, while their body is asleep -- that is all of their sensory processing is in a sleep state. A lot of people supposedly dream in greyscale, whether completely or selectively, though some people are said to interpret their dreams as having been in full color, as that is what they expect to experience.

As for whether this was a dream, it is up to you to know what was going on with you. Some traditions teach that dreams can include astral work, though if the dreamer does not enter a state of lucidity, the work is more passive or automatic. A lucid dream dealing with astral work or projection, in my opinion, is the same, if not just very close.

Thank you for the response. Yes it seemed very real and I know deep down that there is something there I just haven’t figured it out. It’s just strange with the BW because I normally dream in color.

Sometimes this happens mainly when astral sight is not fully active.
