can i be a druid?

as you can tell by my bio, i am a half blood, cherokee indian and irish, though i beleive in the celtic gods and the practices of the celtic druids, only half of me shares their ancestory. so am i allowed to become a druid? despite my native american roots?

Being a druid is more of a religion than a blood connection. There's no reason you cannot research and embrace druid practices because you are part Native American. Both are connected to nature and both heritages should be respected.

What Wind said. You don't have to have a specific heritage to practice Druidry. Druidry is a Neo-Pagan religious path that is open to anyone. You can read more about it in this post:

Yes you can still be a Druid. It’s a religion, It’s not specific to your nationality or ethnic heritage. Some Native American tribes actually have a very interesting history with the Irish as well. I can’t remember which tribe in specific helped (I think it may be the Choctaw tribe); but they helped provide food and money to the Irish during the potato famine and saved a lot of lives.

Think of it this way are you of the blood line no but is your spirit is your heart is it calling you the gods are not made of blood are they? (depends on beliefs) open your heart to the gods and goddesses of the spituality and you will see
