Do you know the reason why you feel this way? Have you always felt like this or has it developed through trauma, or illness, or something?
It may be that you have forgotten how to feel emotions, and you need reminding. Maybe you have put a mental block in place, to protect yourself, triggered by trauma that you might not even remember. I'm in no way trying to say something is "wrong" with you, maybe your brain just works differently. Studying magick may help you, it may not.
Personally I would suggest studying the Tree of Life and how it applies to you, maybe you could find the source of the problem?
I also recommend watching Teal Swan on YouTube. I know she has controversy surrounding her but I think she has a lot to offer. She covers controversial subjects that might actually help you.
A spell will not help your case. You may want to seek professional help. The reason being is magic is about inserting one's energy and emotions to either better or worsen the outcome of the situation. If you are feeling numb, or have no feelings, it is more of a psychological challenge. Since this is a community of magick practitioner, majority are not license to provide professional help. There is nothing wrong with seeking help. I see a therapist every week, and I have improved so much over the year. I went through a similar situation as you describe above, and after a year, I improved so much and felt a lot better. If a consoler you need, I be delighted to listen for the time being.
What does being a Virgo have to do with this? I'm a Leo/Virgo and I've got depression, not because of my zodiac sign but because of personal experiences. If you genuinely feel nothing, I would assume you have depression and should seek professional help [please note depression isn't walking around sad all the time. My first depressive episode felt like a numb grey void]
If you have spoken with a doctor and wish to Witch your way through this there are several options. Positive affirmations, healing teas, colour therapy, meditation, chakra work, exercise, eating healthier, journaling, shadow work and a slew of spells. Couple that with whatever your doctor prescribed and you should find what works best for you.
I have to agree with Nekoshema. Having struggled with depression myself for several years, this is really sound advice.
I just wanted to elaborate that, while you should definitely consider consulting a doctor, therapist, or other trained professional, therapy and medications are not the most suitable treatment for everyone. They may work very well for you, and that would be wonderful. For me, they did not seem to fit correctly.
The other things suggested were really helpful for me in working through it, most specifically, journaling and chakra work. If you do decide to try these, be sure when you are working to balance your chakras that you are fully understanding which emotions each is meant to represent and why you may not be feeling them. Often it is a block that you have subconsciously put in place, maybe because of a depressive episode, or due to some other intense feeling over something.
It happens to me a lot with anger and sadness. If I feel either of these emotions very strongly, sometimes I fall out of touch with my emotions for several weeks, and I don't seem like myself, but that is also part of my depression.
It can also help to sit down and talk to someone you trust, and share what you're going through.
Best of luck to you with getting through this. If you need to talk to anyone just to vent or discuss, please feel free to send me a message as well.
Very true, medications, therapy, they don't work for everyone, but they shouldn't be ignored, everyone's different. Medication especially, you might spend years trying different ones until they find the right kind for you, and some have nasty side effects, research and do what feels right to you, but don't instantly rule out medical options. Personally I've never been prescribed medicine and I'm able to manage my depression with herbs, eating right and exercise, but I still get depressed, I just recognize it and that's when I go for the herbal remedies and vitamins. I have been to therapy but I'm still finding the right fit for me, so most of my healing is me working at it, but you should talk to a doctor to get an actual diagnosis and the doctor can help you find options that work for you [my doctor knew I wouldn't take medication so she started me on herbal ones]
