A sign as to whether a spell has worked or not can only truly be interpreted by the caster. Something that means nothing to you, may be a sure sign to me that a spell has worked. The other way round is also true.
I'd say the spell has worked when she starts taking interest in you i.e. messaging you personally, reaching out to you.
I think you should stop thinking about it and continue with your daily life. Spells take a while to work, and honey jar spells are no exception. By "a while" a mean anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.
Of course, you can't just rely on miracles. If you really like this girl, how about reaching out to her? For spells to work, they also require the necessary steps.

Personally you want to see proof the spell is working so subconsciously your brain is finding 'evidence' of it working to convince you. [theres an old though experiment where you are suppose to not think of a polar bear and since you're telling yourself not to your brain can't help but fixate on bears] if you feel these are signs, take them as such, but also observe your daily interactions with her. Do you feel/see her staring at you more, wanting to hang out more,or generally wants to spend more time with you? [i assume you are in contact with each other in real life and not simply online friends or strangers in a school] I would also feel out the energy in the situation and when you feel right talk to her and ask her out. As scary as it sounds, cast a spell to make someone like you will eventually result in you asking the person out.
The girl and I do know each other. When we see each other she always give me hugs. Her mom is like my sister from another mother. Her Dad is the dj at a local bar I go to on Fridays.
Well you are at least in contact with her, this isn't like a total stranger who lives in another country. Point still remains, you will need to talk to her and eventually ask her out. Since you know her parents you could go over for a visit, chat with her, 'casually' bump into her in town and ask to hang out [in a group or alone] as friends so you can get to know her better.
