Three tailed fox

I dreamed I was in a white room and I met a fox that had three tails. I asked it if it was my spirit familiar and it said yes.
So I just wanted to ask, did I find my familiar in a dream or am I just crazy and having weird dreams? Could the dream mean something?

It is indeed possible you encountered your spirit animal in a dream. But I would not count on one dream about a three-tailed fox indicating it is your spirit animal. I would wait and see whether it appears several more times before being sure. In the meantime you might want to read up on Kitsune, the many-tailed fox of Japanese folklore. And take note that there are two kinds of Kitsune, the benevolent ones, and the ones that can be malicious tricksters. If a Kitsune says it is your spirit animal, be sure it is one of the benevolent ones.

Like it's been said wait for several more signs, common ones are high pitch whistles or seeing fireballs in dreams. It might also be best to leave an offering out to Inari, protecter of rice cultivatio, for a blessing or protection. It is said that only benevolent ones workunder Inair. You may start to notice scrolls or balls, as the benevolent ones often carry these around shown in statues. The not so friendly ones fear the ones who work under Inair, both are prankish, cook rice and fried tofu are two of the most common offerings.
