Visualization

Hi! I’m new here and while reading over some potential spells to be the first I cast I’ve noticed that many of them say to “visualize” certain things. How can I do this? I understand the concept of seeing something with my mind’s eye but I don’t understand how to do it. Would meditation help and if so what are some tips to begin?

When you see something with your eyes shut. Like shut your eyes and pictures a red apple. You have shut your eyes and been able to see somethings details?

I don’t have the ability to that naturally. I’m trying to learn how to do so.

Ok so take a item. Look over it completely. Notice all the small details. Once done shut your eyes and run your hand over the item while trying to picture where your touching it.

First of all, great question! This kind of stuff is why people say we need to practice before we can effectively work with magick/energy. And you're right, visualization is not something a lot of us can immediately do without practice.

I like the apple suggestion a lot. another thing you could try would be guided meditations. These would be helpful to describe environments/scenarios to imagine yourself in and to practice immersing yourself in those thoughts/images. Another thing I've found helpful in the past is imagining myself in a familiar environment (my favorite park, on the beach) and really trying to recreate every detail in my head.

I feel like visualizing someplace familiar to me will help. I didn’t think of that before. Thank you for the suggestion. I will definitely try it.
