What brought you here

Hello everyone. So what brought you to the idea of alternative Christianity and Christian wicca? I would love to know also what made you come and seek out a Christian wiccan coven. How and why?

I came to alteranative Christianity through the Esoteric Seminary where I became Ordained. There we talked about the goddess of the gospel, what happened to her and the gnostic view of life, the cosmos, and the christian way. I fell in love with the beautiful union of the divine and came to seek out others with similar ideas.

Please tell us your stories. How did you all come to the magickal Christian lifestyle? What brought you here?

My journey was kindof strange. I knew since I was small that I had abilities that others around me did not have and I was always interested in witchcraft, ghosts, dream interpretation, stones, etc but I was always taught that it was evil to practice. Several years ago I had a coworker who said she was a Christian Wiccan. She tried very hard to explain it to me but because of years of being brainwashed by my church and my family I tried to "save" her by explaining that you can either be one or the other. I was taught that you couldn't be a Christian and a Witch even though I was myself. I said the words but it didn't settle right with me. My coworker wasn't what I expected. She seemed a lot like me. I was respectful after that as I realized I didn't know everything and perhaps should look into this more. As time went on I started noticing inconsistencies in what I was taught and started doing a lot of research. I spent 2 years studying in the local Seminary but decided to continue my studies online because my church wouldn't ordain women. I had an issue with that because I felt a calling and didn't think the Catholic Church was right about that. It was then that I noticed while studying the book of Romans how St. Paul wrote about Phoebe. I stayed up all night googling anything I could find about her. She was a Deaconess and was so important back then that she was commissioned to hand deliver the letter to the Romans Herself! This was a game changer for me. It was the validation I needed. It made me wonder what else had been switched around. If this calling was valid then maybe so was the inner pulling I felt to be a Christian Witch also. Once I finally accepted myself for who I was made to be things have become much clearer and I have been able to help so many people. It wasn't a straight path to get where I am today but I got here just the same. I think that's important for people to remember and I wish I had realized it sooner especially when I met the Christian Wiccan at work. I wish I had realized sooner that we are all at a different point on our journey and all our paths to get where we are going are unique. We must trust the process and be patient and understanding with one another. Blessed Be!

Was a Protestant, then became Catholic, I like witchcraft. Thus combined the two. Kinda simple but it's the truth.

Haha simple indeed Phoenix. I love the stories as how people came to the path. Also, in the bible, the prophets used magick amd divination but the churches leave this part out. It actually isn't the "magick" that is vad and forbidden. It is the "adversary" and the dark path that is forbidden in biblical magick. All throughout the bible the prophets used magick, ritual, and divination to commune with the will of the divine. Angels also are heavily prayed to and used as these beings are the messagers. Dont let the church deceive you. Blessings to you all

I've always been a spiritual being and have been attracted to magickal texts and the supernatural, so I have blended my faith in christianity with pagan wicca, and it works like clockwork :)

i first came here in time of need , because i knew that i could find people with similar beliefs . i felt instantly that i belong somewhere , finally . i grew up in a very strict Orthodox family . my father is the only one who believes that magic might be true but at the same time is scared to know more about it . i always felt a strong connection to those things , i have actually resaerched and practiced for 9 years now . that is how long i have been in the Coven . that is what i am trying to give everyone here . a safe place where we can talk about our problems , be away for all the stereotypes and negativity , a family if i dare say . even if i don't know you all , i pray for all of you and always keep you on my mind .

I found Wicca shortly after I got back from a Catholic retreat, so Christian Wiccan felt more natural. When I first came here, and I was part of the old Christian Wiccansback in 2015, I was disappointed at the lack of involvement here on the site. Seeing it so active in the forums is amazing and such a refreshing change from what was here before! I really feel like it's a family instead of just a group of people <3
