Telepathy, in the sense of actually hearing voices and responding to them without speaking, isn't exactly possible. However, I think in a sense of reading body language and responding to a message with other forms of body languagecould be a possibility if both parties were engaged. I don't think sign language counts as Telepathy as it is a diliberateform of communication rather than a subtle one, likecrossing your arms or having a slight negative tone to their voice.
It is an interesting concept and it definitely should be explored a bit more.
I disagree wholeheartedly. I believe that there is an element of telepathy that we don't use. I believe that there could be a logical explanation being cosmic background radiation and our electromagnetic fields. Have you ever noticed that some people pick up others ideas during conversations, its subtle but it is a form of telepathy. Im not saying its not farfetch'd or anything. But i honestly believe that an element of telepathy exists and we just don't use it effectively, we have just assumed it was our own ideas and our own fast ability to think, when really its not our ideas at all.
In my opinion I think telepathy is possible to some extend. Do I think it is the same as Hollywood portals? No I don't, but as a medium I'm able to tune into someone else energy before the reading to start. As I do this I'm able to pick up thoughts that they previously were thinking, currently or had been. Example someone might go to me for a romantic reading, they give me no other information outside of the fact that they want a romantic reading. When I'm preparing for that reading, I noticed I start thinking about romance and worrying about a boyfriend/ girlfriend that I don't even have. I know my own thought process and know thinking about romance is so not my thing, yet here I am.
I tell the client about this and they admit they have been overthinking about their love life. To me that is a form of telepathy able to read one thoughts. Or say for some strange unknown reason I have the idea of cleaning up the leaves in the garden. Which isn't normally my job and I don't really think about things like that, I just do them. Give it ten minutes and my roommate is out cleaning the leaves, I ask him if he had that on his mind since midday he said he has. And explains how he should have gotten it earlier but he wanted to finish off a project, that is self is a form of telepathic ability. At least to my own opinion.
I believe it's real. Of course not the "Hollywood" version. I feel like when your third eye is open, then you can read bits and pieces of someone's mind.

It's not really possible in the state of evolution as the human race is in, presently. The possibility could come about with a greater activity of the human brain beyond the present, very minuscule, capcity as is. And the possibility of being able to do so is bordering very close on science fiction. In short you simply cannot read another's mind. Not until some sense of evolution which could take thousands of years.
Being able to go into a reading clear of thought and being able to pick up on another person's troubles with a specific subject based upon the little detail relative to the subject is no more than a practice of a mentalist. Which being able to read someone's body language, no matter how subtle, is still part of the mentalist practice. Which is the same exact practice used by mediums and psychics. It's pretty much a type of psychology. I'm certain you would realize the relativity to exactness upon further research.
On the, some-what, contrary there is the common belief that couples especially those in dedicated relationships, such as marriages, are able to read each others mind. But to debunk, that's still a bit of mentalist practice and mostly knowing who that person is, how they act, and how they think, etc.
No matter how you look at it you pinpoint telepathy down to fiction or mere psychology of one form or another.
I do want to clarify that I'm not talking about reading exact thoughts. I feel like I should write a new forum to explain but I'm already here.
My mother sometimes calls this "Mind hacking". It's the ability to "read a person's mind via behavior pattern, emotions, etc."
She used this technique when she was a police officer. This ability is not one that will randomly or magically come to you. She said its usual amoung children whom learned deductive reasoning methods at a young age. Yes my mother taught me that early. She was a helicopter mom.
They have different names for the ability or skill. If you need to read more about this, here are only a couple sources out of many:
