Becoming a Medium

I would really love to be able to speak to those who have passed away but I don't believe I am naturally gifted. Is there any way I can learn to become a medium?

This is Witch09. I read Your question and would like to add and say that being a medium is not a special gift and not only the talented can become train and study to be one. Mediumship, at least to me, is the practice of communicating and or channeling perceptions of the spirit world and its entities. All great Occult feats in my opinion come with study and meditation.

All spirit work becomes easier once you are good at performing energy work. Sensing energy and sensing a presence are very similar! If you haven't already, look into practicing energy work and get the basics of that down first. Then, if you've never communicated with a spirit, you should ward the room you intend to do so in. Be very specific about what spirits can and can't enter. Don't let anything with ill intent into your space. Once you have a conversation with your first spirit, you may want to cast a circle to protect you specifically. Often, spirits are around us without us knowing. You can use a pendulum to find whether this is the case for you, and if so try communicating with the spirit via pendulum. Some people have the skill of communicating with spirits telepathically, and while I don't have this particular skill, you may find it interesting to look into. Finally, contacting a specific spirit may be difficult unless they are a better known spirit. Be careful to ensure that who you're contacting is who they claim to be. A spirit can claim to be anyone.

Thank you this has been very helpful for me. After I have practiced with the energy work, do you know how i would channel and the process of channeling.
