Yes, you can. You can do the spells anyway you are comfortable in doing them. I often say my spells inside my mind instead of saying them out loud.

Basic rule of magick, if it feels right, do it. While there are some things not possible [transformation, teleportation, levitation etc] if you read a spell and it says start in the east and you feel more drawn to the west, start in the west. If a spell calls for apples, but you feel oranges would work better, go with oranges. If you feel like adding cinnamon to everything you do, use cinnamon. It's your craft.

I agree with Nekoshema. Also, I've found that singing spells can actually help you in your magick as:-

1. It can help raise extra-energy for the spell

2. You can hold a tune when you forget words or something. That way, you wouldn't fumble or stutter or anything while casting (a very practical use)
