I'm not sure if you're suggesting that red is a sign of magic in someone's life, or if you're saying that red = magic is specific to you.

But red is a very common color. I don't think seeing red a lot would mean anything, as a lot of clothing, cars, pens, etc are red. You might be experiencing confirmation bias, where you've associated red with magic and now you notice all the red things in your life that have been there before. You're just noticing them more since you now have a reason to.

All colors have magical energy associated with them. Red is a very powerful color; it is bold, daring, energetic, passionate, and purifying. Red is the color that signifies richness, luck, and luxury in feng shui however an excess of this color can bring outbursts of anger and frustration due to over stimulation. Red is often associated with love and lust as well as violence and destruction. Like many aspects of our universe,red has many associations, such as the planet Mars, heat, fire, and even spice.

Our brains are fascinating biological computers, continually running programs that direct all of the vessel's systems for proper function and maintenance. The brain likes to build it's knowledge bank with correlations and contrasts. Sometimes repeated themes and signs are considered communication with the gods or spiritual aspects. However, there is the other theory devoid of divine intervention or communication and referred to as the Baader-Meinhof phenomena or frequency illusion.
