I have an experience once I like to share, and wonder if something the this or similar has happen to anyone else.
As most know in the craft almost every object has a energy/vibration or in other term "life" as for example crystals.
There is a crystal shop close to us that we frequently visit. A stunning store the owner is a collector of Crystal/gems/stones even fossil, and they have from the smallest stone to he most majestic Crystal balls. Well the experience start when visit the store. I was browsing the store looking a what I find and I randomly pick up a white tektite/Libyan tektite. Once contact was mad with the beautiful little gem, I felt a very quick shock through my body.
In my beginner stages I taught myself how to protect myself using a energy/aura wall from attacks.
Once I felt the shock it was like my energy wall explode outward at such a speed and distance around me that I was so taken aback it took me a few moments to relished what happen.
Basically the gem increase my energy wall so far out that even my partner could not sense me from the other side of the shopping center " my partner and I are very strong connected with our energies". It's was like I drop off the map completely. And all of this happen for a good reason, the store was rather busy as one of the customers was a descendent from a very old entity/magical user. The moment the burst happen the customer look directly at to see where the source or the energy came from.
Here the weird part although he look directly at me, it felt like he was looking right through me like I was invisible or not there, as if he was just staring a blank space.
So in conclusion the gem gave up his "life" in order to protect me form harm, I was able to use the power wall/shield afterward with effort but like anything else the energy diminishes over time, I can still you the shield but the distance and force is now limited.
Just through the act something people call a 'stone", I learned a lot about energy shields and a new higher respect for crystals. I like to know if the are others where a crystal did something similar or was this just 1 in a lifetime experience
I am curious how you know the man looking at you was some type of practitioner?
People appear to look "through" others quite often I find. Sadly I feel this is the current human condition.
As for a similar experience yes. I remember reading that a malachite is capable of cracking in half if the one in possession of it is in danger. I had my malachite pendant break in half while wearing it while experiencing contact with a negative entity.
Of course there is likely a scientific reason for this.
It's a bit difficult to explain among other reason, but I will try my best.
Just to note first I am sensitive to various energy, the problem is I am not a master at it. It happens on and off when I sense energies/entities ect. There is a type of energy I am connected to but I sure not sure if there is a name or type of class for them.
To put in context regarding the " type practitioner " I need to explain what sort of practitioner he was, without breaking my vow to my mentor/teacher. Here are some description of the practitioner that I can divulge.
1.They come form an very old bloodline/family, and some text and history say they may even be dated as far back to biblically times.
2.There a very few of them, and very rare to come across their path. As they like to keep them self extremely hidden.
3.They can been bad(dark arts) or good(healing arts) it all dependence on their sort of upbringing.
4.They have a vast and deep knowledge of the celestial and demonic plane.
5.Regardless on what side they follow very strict set of rules.
How I knew he was a practitioner is when everything happen, he was kind of caught of guard and I sense or recognize the type of energy, as this was weirdly my third encounter with this type of practitioner.
1st encounter was a nightclub over long holiday weekend, which at that time I was very, how to say it new/naïve about energy around me. And this encounter lead on the path to discover my mentor/teacher.
2nd one was a very quick encounter, I just passed him by while he was working in a ticket booth.
And may original post was the third.
Or like you said there may be a scientific reason for it. Which could have been a power surge as where I am from, South Africa we do have major issues with our country's electrical power grid
Stones are quite helpful in many various respects. Qwartz, for example, is best as a general energy holder. They are very good at holding large ammounts of energy, and so, can be used for just about anything. In your case, for some reason I tend to feel that tbis particular stone is best used as a signal sender, similar to a proximity sensor or door chime. When charged properly, it can discharge a specific vibration, that would serve as an energetic bell,when met with sufficient spiritual energy.
Similar to seeing spiritual activityfrom the corner of ones eye, it is very likely that this person was simply reading the aura given off at the time of the shock. Because your shield was the vibration that the stone contacted initially, it is safe to assume that however much energy that was used to charge the stone, was absorbed by you in that moment... This reminds me of why they say to never let another practirioner touch your talismans.
As for the person, one would be wise to not pry into the personage of another practirioner unless invited to do so. Otherwise, one may be subject to whateber defenses they have prepared for such an intrusion.
I once had a nice cluster of amethyst on a necklace. Never took it off, and for a long while, only used it for positive notions. One day however, it simply disappeared from the chain.. I was at work, stone tucked in shirt, and shirt tucked in pants. I have no other reason for its vanishing, other than the fact of that day, I had been treated poorly by a customer, and had used its potential for a negative working. I assume the dissonant act caused my stone to become useless to me. Food for thought.
Thank you for your reply, As stated I do have a mentor/adviser to help me on my path. But I think sometimes a outside opinion helps to broaden my view and force me not to have a some say " Tunnel Vision"
