Having nightmares
By:
Post # 1
Hi,
I did a spell on the full moon and I did protect myself but since I’m doing nightmares and I sleep way more than I used to. Maybe I did something wrong in the protection? Also my body is a little bit weak but it has always been like that after a spell.
If somebody know how I can stop having these nightmares keep me updated

It is normal to feel a little drained after magical practice such as spell casting. This however should not last more than a day or so. Eating healthy foods afterwards and being well hydrated are important aspects of any activity where a lot of energy is utilized. Rest is also important to help recharge your system. The nightmares may be more prominent right now due to the heavenly precession we are currently experiencing in conjunction with the current state of the world. As we practice we often open ourselves up to other aspects of the craft. Our power or strength increases, turning on the senses and tuning us into the universe around us. I suggest doing a cleansing, placing up a ward specifically for nightmares, and to keep a piece of black tourmaline, amethyst, or lapis lazuli under your pillow or by your bed. Anise, rosemary, and thyme are herbs to help keep nightmares at bay. Create a sachet even include a stone mentioned above and place under the pillow or by the bed. A dream catcher is also a good idea if you are having dream issues. Below are some links to items from our site store that may be of help to you;

Hey Violencia,

I'm sorry your experiencing post spell effects. At times, we may manifest symptoms followinga spell even if you've done everything correctly. It may be completely out of our control.
Some thingsI've done in the past to combat negative effects of spell casting is meditation, as well as chakra cleansing. You may or may not be accepting tothose practices, but they work well for me. Additionally, it could be as simple as just taking a walk through the forest or near a shoreline to rejuvenate your energy. It's all dependent on your preference and what truly works for you.
A quick internet search lead me to an article onThe Traveling Witch entitled, "What To Do When You Feel Horrible After A Spell" by Avery Hart. I know it's not nightmare centric, but it gives some good advice about
what to do if feeling horrible after a spell.

Hope you feel better.

Blessed Be

I would also journal the dreams as you have them. Keeping a log gives you something to look back on over time which may reveal repeating themes or images. Then compare those themes with where you are in life, emotionally and spiritually. It may be that some part of your subconscious is trying to reveal sources of stress or imbalance.

What sort of a spell did you work? What was the goal you were after? Knowing what you worked can help in examining how it might lead to nightmares.

Thank you for all the anwsers, it’s been practically a week and it’s still the same thing. I’m in the middle of the nature this week-end. Hope it helps.
I don’t really remember my nightmares but I remember the dreams I’m doing after. It feels like my brain tries to protect me for something.
