That's a potion for you. Spells are basically recipes [see kitchen witchcraft, it's all about infusing magick into your cooking] Potions are liquid spells. Baths, brews, teas, lotions, oils, tinctures, perfume, creams, infused water, soap, these all count as ''potions'' [you could also consider freeze spells a type of potion] Also, not all potions are to be drunk. Some are sprays or you put in an infuser/steam. Some are baths you soak in, some are oils or perfumes you put on your skin so the scent attracts your goal. You can also put potions in a small bottle and wear them around your neck like an amulet. For this, it would be a tea or possibly a brew. Place the honey and lemon [and sugar if you want, personally I always put a teaspoon of black currant jam in it] into the cup and think ''for healing my throat'' as the kettle boils, put your hands around the cup and charge the honey and lemon with healing energy. Pour the hot water into the cup and stir [you can go with clockwise because you're bringing healing toward you, but you could also go counterclockwise while thinking you are taking the sore throat away] Then sit and sip the tea mindfully, thinking about how your throat will get better.
Omit the sugar, and make it ''honey to taste'' since some have a bigger sweet tooth than others, but this does work. Hot honey and lemon is a great drink for a sore throat. You can also include mint or chamomile for added healing.
