Magic on the physical plane does not defy natural law. Humans cannot naturally transform into other things, ergo, this does not work. You could be an otherkin, work with astral werewolves, spirit animals or animal totems in your craft, but this is all on spiritual, mental, and astral levels, not physical. The physical has a pretty ridged set of standards. Furthermore, I was raised Wiccan, I have lived in the craft since I was a baby, and I have studied and practices for nearly as long. This is why I know what Real Magic is capable of on the physical plane. It is an energy that brings natural change. It works with energy to attract/repel a desired change, not physical transformation.
When someone knows how magic works, they don't need to try something to know it won't work. You can shift on the astral plane, but not on the physical.

Paganism is a religion, Pagans practice witchcraft [a spiritual belief where you work with natural energy to bring natural change] this site is for those who wish to study real witchcraft. If someone understands how magick works, they can tell which spells are plausible without trying them. Magick is a natural energy that brings natural change. Werewolves and vampires are astral beings. Humans can't decide to transform into other beings by human nature. Since physical transformation contradicts nature [as well as these being astral creatures and humans are physical creatures] the spell won't work. Same with immortality. Humans, by nature, can't live forever, it contradicts nature, therefore a spell won't work.
