You charge energy and negative emotions [anger specificaly] visualize your target in pain and misery, and when you feel you may explode with rage, say the chant as many times as you feel necessary. Whatever you were visualizing should direct the energy to bring those misfortunes to them. You should feel very energizes, angry, fidgety, and when finished you might feel a calm sense of relief, drained, or still energized [it depends on if you used all the energy, too much energy, or not enough and need yo charge/ground after the spell] you should cleanse/protect yourself and your space afterwards to get rid of any lingering negative energy so you aren't negatively affected by the casting either.
Like Neko said, a BUNCH of energy. I've done this before, it worked. But you need to be so, SO careful.. the person I did this to I killed. There can be consequences if you do it wrong.
Maybe make a chant consisting of words that are opposite of the words used? If any objects were used, than burying it would've done the trick. But you can't bury words, so use new ones!
A reversal chant:-

I am sorry for your loss. However, I doubt they used Voodoo on you. Vodou is a closed practice and the dolls are specific to the person, not the persons family. A curse, maybe. Also, it should be noted Magik is intention, not colour, so there is no ''black magick'' and lumping it in with a POC religion gives the religion a negative connotation when it is a misunderstood faith. With all of that said, I do not work curses and morally I do not wish to share that information for your safety. If these people did kill someone with a spell, they would be heavily guarded spiritually, so trying to curse them back would undoubtedly make things worse.
If I were you, I would focus my efforts on a serious cleansing and protection to defend yourself before thinking about revenge. Purchase a bottle of Florida Water, place it in a spray bottle and go around your home spraying it as you say a cleansing chant. You should also consider burning cleansing incense and/or protection incense. Incense like dragons blood, High John or sandalwood are powerful protections. You can also hang protection symbols, charms and items like braded garlic in your home to added protection. Chants, calling on your guides, having plants you take care of, enchanted guardian statues, wards, and crytals can all be utilized in protection. You should also use some Florida Water in a cleansing bath to wash away any negative energy that has been sent to you and then protect yourself. Wearing a protection necklace, anointing yourself with protection oils/ointments, drawing protection symbols on the inside of your clothes, saying a protection before leaving, and daily shielding are all ways to keep yourself protected. I also recommend doing a cord cutting to remove any and all energetic ties you might have. You could attempt a reversal spell on them, but if you are unsure of the exact spell, I would not risk it. If you have other witches who can help you, I suggest asking them to aid you in your cleansing, protection and cord cutting.
I would also make a witches bottle, but I would cast that one alone. The more people who know about your protections, the greater the chance they can get around them. Get a jar and place a combination of protective and baneful herbs inside along with things like broken glass, rusted nails and thistles. Then fill it with vinegar, seal with wax, and place somewhere it will not be disturbed. Some bury these jars, others leave them high on a shelf. If the jar breaks, it means someone tried to cast against you and the jar protected you by send them misfortune.
As for baneful herbs, many are items you would consider dangerous and harmful. Poisonous plants, spicy plants, pointy plants. With a little digging, you can find a list of baneful herbs on Google.
Once I did this curse on someone at school in a math test when they were trying to get me in trouble, and then at lunch, they had the chefs disgusting Mac and cheese and are it with two forks! So I guess it works. But I am wondering if this curse will ever get broken?
